Hotel and hospitality worker Jobs in Sweden for EU Citizens: No Work Permit Needed (2026)

Who this page is for. You are a citizen of an EU country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland - or you are from Ukraine and registered under temporary protection. In both cases you may take up work in Sweden without a work permit, and the employer files nothing for you. For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens that is free movement of workers; for Ukrainians under temporary protection it is immediate access to the labour market, currently until 4 March 2028. If you are from outside the EU and not under protection, this page is not about you - the page for foreign workers is.

Working front of house or behind the scenes in Swedish hotels and restaurants usually means keeping things running smoothly for guests from all over the world. Your daily routine might involve greeting visitors at reception, preparing dining rooms, or keeping rooms ready for new arrivals, all while working closely with a diverse team. Employers hiring for these roles often range from independent boutique spots to large international chains, as well as seasonal destination properties.

Moving to Sweden to work in this industry requires navigating a new environment and adjusting to local workplace cultures. Success often depends on your ability to handle a busy shift, communicate well with colleagues, and adapt to changing daily demands. While the process of settling in takes patience, many hospitality workers find that the experience brings rewarding connections and new skills.

What is advertised right now

On 14 October 2026 our register holds 392 live hotel and hospitality worker vacancies in Sweden that carry the employer's own application address. These are public adverts collected from the national job services; they are not ours and we do not stand between you and the employer.

Employers advertising at the moment include Yum Yum City AB, Energy Staffing & Advisement Sweden AB, Megna Group Kommanditbolag, Hotell Årjäng AB, Takami Sushi AB, Herrljunga Hotell och Konferens AB.

The work is in Västerås, Göteborg, Solna, Årjäng, Helsingborg, Herrljunga and elsewhere.

34 hotel and hospitality workers are already in the Workuro register. Create a free profile and we send you the live adverts in your trade, with the address to apply to, as they appear. You apply yourself; nothing about you goes anywhere unless you press a button next to one advert and ask us to send your CV.

What employers in Sweden tend to ask for

Registration. Register your address with the local authority once you arrive - that is the same step a national takes when moving house, and it is what unlocks a tax number and a bank account.

Pay

We do not print wages on this page. The adverts we collect do not carry them reliably, and a number we could not stand behind would be worse than none. Pay in Sweden is set by collective agreements in most of these trades; the employer's advert, or the union for the sector, is where the real figure is.

Nobody may charge you for this

You need no permit, so there is nothing for an agent to "arrange". If anyone asks you for money for a job in Sweden, for a contract, for a place in a queue or for paperwork that does not exist, walk away. Workuro is free for workers and always will be; an employer pays only if they want to open your contact details, and you can switch that off.
