Auto mechanic Jobs in Spain for EU Citizens: No Work Permit Needed (2026)

Who this page is for. You are a citizen of an EU country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland - or you are from Ukraine and registered under temporary protection. In both cases you may take up work in Spain without a work permit, and the employer files nothing for you. For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens that is free movement of workers; for Ukrainians under temporary protection it is immediate access to the labour market, currently until 4 March 2028. If you are from outside the EU and not under protection, this page is not about you - the page for foreign workers is.
Working on cars here means dealing with a broad mix of everyday commuter vehicles alongside modern hybrids and imports. You will spend your shifts diagnosing engine faults, replacing worn brakes, running computer diagnostics, and keeping service records straight. Shops range from independent family-run garages to large multi-brand service centers, and they are regularly looking for hands-on mechanics who know their way around a wrench and can work efficiently without constant supervision.
Shifting to this kind of work in a new country means adapting to local workshop routines, finding your rhythm with a new set of colleagues, and getting used to the specific parts and tools common in local garages. Success usually comes down to bringing a solid mechanical background, showing up ready to tackle whatever drives through the bay door, and proving your reliability on the shop floor over time.
What is advertised right now
On 14 October 2026 our register holds 40 live auto mechanic vacancies in Spain that carry the employer's own application address. These are public adverts collected from the national job services; they are not ours and we do not stand between you and the employer.
Employers advertising at the moment include Oficina de Treball del SOC.
45 auto mechanics are already in the Workuro register. Create a free profile and we send you the live adverts in your trade, with the address to apply to, as they appear. You apply yourself; nothing about you goes anywhere unless you press a button next to one advert and ask us to send your CV.
Pay
We do not print wages on this page. The adverts we collect do not carry them reliably, and a number we could not stand behind would be worse than none. Pay in Spain is set by collective agreements in most of these trades; the employer's advert, or the union for the sector, is where the real figure is.
Nobody may charge you for this
You need no permit, so there is nothing for an agent to "arrange". If anyone asks you for money for a job in Spain, for a contract, for a place in a queue or for paperwork that does not exist, walk away. Workuro is free for workers and always will be; an employer pays only if they want to open your contact details, and you can switch that off.
