Foodgame is seeking a motivated and reliable commis chef to join our team in Ringsend, Dublin. 4. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation and cooking of food and will work as part of the kitchen team to maintain appropriate standards of food quality, preparation, hygiene and kitchen organisation. Duties and responsibilities - Assist with the preparation and cooking of food according to the menu and recipes. - Prepare ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting and portioning. - Assist senior chefs with daily kitchen operations. - Follow recipes and food preparation procedures. - Maintain appropriate standards of food quality and presentation. - Ensure food is stored correctly and safely. - Follow HACCP, food safety and health and safety procedures. - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment. - Assist with stock rotation and checking deliveries. - Assist in minimising food waste and using ingredients efficiently. - Work effectively as part of the kitchen team. - Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff. - Carry out other reasonable duties associated with the Commis Chef position. Experience Required - Minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional kitchen environment. - Previous experience in a Commis Chef or similar kitchen position is desirable. - Experience with food preparation and basic cooking techniques. - Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP procedures. - Ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen team. - Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment. - Good organisational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to follow instructions and established food preparation procedures. Qualifications and Skills Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable. The candidate should have appropriate practical kitchen experience, knowledge of food preparation and cooking procedures, and an understanding of food hygiene and HACCP requirements. Working Hours This is a full-time permanent position of 39 hours per week. Working hours will be scheduled according to the operational requirements of the business. Salary €36,605 gross per annum, based on 39 hours per week (€18.05 per hour). Salary refers to basic pay and does not include bonuses, shift allowances or overtime.
