Job advertisement for a permanent position(100%) multi cuisine COOK/KOKK/CHEF HavnehusetAS is a fantastic cozy Gastro-pub located in the middle of the beautiful island Andøya beside the harbor of Dverberg. Since 1999 this place is serving a good range of Beers, drink, wines along with delicious International food from the menu and out of the menu, and also operating catering service in local and nearby areas. Also, this is a known place to serve food & drink to industrial personnel for many years. As the same this is a favorite and depending place for drink, dine & party to the people from local and nearby places at weekends as well as weekdays too. It has an inside sitting capacity of about 40 and 16 outdoor sitting. Serving International Food and Baked items including Italian, Indian, Norwegian, American mostly from the regular menu and out of the menu on the event basis and season basis. Indian food is always in demand at this place round the year. In this situation the owner/CEO Mr.Bjørn Aksel Riber is managing the place by himself and working 100%. Since 2023 HavnehusetAS started hiring Cook/Chef for busy summer season (upto winter or pre winter) under full-time seasonal working category. Hence, Autumn, Christmas and New-year are also busy here. Sometimes hired for 'extra help' mostly to manage events. The owner/CEO Mr.Bjørn Aksel Riber decides to reduce his workload capacity as much possible cause of his present health condition. As per Doctor's suggestion/advice he needs major support to manage the kitchen related works like food preparation & production, baking, cooking, cleaning, handling and lifting heavy goods and others kitchen related & catering related activities on busy days to continue and run the business activities of HavnehusetAS in a proper manner . For the above mentioned reason the owner/CEO of HavnehusetAS Mr.Bjørn Aksel Riber decided to hire a Cook/Kokk/Chef for permanent position in 100% work category. Initial Job Contract duration is 1 year (one year) and will start from 01.07.2027 (1st July , 2027). Possibilities to renew the Job Contract for further long-term duration after successful completion of the first one year. Wage according to the Collective agreement (as per NHO). Flexible working hours (weekend, weekdays, day, night according to the requirements). Friendly and 'helping each other' working environment. Norwegian language or English language both languages are accepted at the work place. Rent Accommodation can be provided nearby work place. JOB description Position name: Cook/Kokk/Chef 100 % permanent full time position Multi cuisine Food production (Cooking and Baking) according to recipes and menu (Italian, Indian, Norwegian, American). All types of preparation related to food production and cooking and baking. Maintain, manage and clean the kitchen area Follow the food safety parameters as per HACCP and implementation. Order & purchase ingredients, food items, relevant items and receive orders & delivery. Control Inventory and storage Look after the dining areas (indoor & outdoor) Guest relationship, communication & analyse guest feedback. Our requirements: Knowledge and experience of cooking , baking , food preparation Very good communication skill in English is a replacement/alternative of the Norwegian language skill. Good knowledge of Indian cuisine (cooking and baking of Indian food & breads) knowledge of Food safety and HACCP Multi cuisine cooking skill and knowledge Knowledge of Norwegian food and ingredients Baking skill with certificate (High school level) Catering knowledge with certificate (High school level) Flexible and available on weekend Independently working capacity At least one year work experience in Norway as a Kokk/Cook/Chef (as a permanent or seasonal category) Good reference is very important for this job.
