1. Key responsibilities - Develop and grow sales of heavy trucks, mining trucks, and machinery in South America. - Identify and establish relationships with potential customers, including mining companies, truck dealers, machinery resellers, importers, and other relevant businesses. - Leverage existing industry contacts and develop a strong customer network across target markets. - Identify customer requirements and match them with suitable trucks, machinery, and equipment available for sale. - Manage the complete sales process, from prospecting and quotations to negotiations, closing deals, and follow-up. - Research market trends, customer demand, competitor activity, and opportunities in the region. - Negotiate prices and commercial terms while maintaining profitability. - Coordinate with internal teams regarding equipment availability, export documentation, transportation, and delivery. - Represent the company professionally and build long-term partnerships with customers. Required qualifications and experience - Proven experience in sales within heavy trucks, mining equipment, construction machinery, or a closely related industry. - Strong knowledge of the heavy vehicle and machinery market, including equipment specifications and customer requirements. - Demonstrated ability to generate sales and develop new business opportunities. - Good understanding of the South American market and its commercial environment. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. - Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage the sales process from beginning to end. - Willingness to travel internationally when required. Language requirements - **Spanish:** Essential for communicating with customers in Spanish-speaking South American markets. - **English:** Required for internal communication and international business. - **Portuguese:** A strong advantage, particularly for business development in Brazil. Preferred qualifications - An established network of contacts in the South American mining, transport, or heavy equipment sectors. - Previous experience exporting used heavy trucks, mining equipment, or machinery internationally. - Familiarity with international trade, export procedures, shipping, and cross-border transactions. - Knowledge of markets such as Chile, Peru, Bolivia or Brazil. - Experience working with international dealers, importers, distributors, or end users. What we are looking for We are particularly interested in candidates who combine practical industry knowledge with a strong commercial mindset. You should be comfortable approaching new customers, understanding their equipment needs, negotiating commercial agreements, and developing business opportunities into completed transactions. An existing customer network in South America is a significant advantage. We value practical experience, initiative, reliability, and the ability to deliver measurable sales results.
