What the work involves
We are looking for an experienced and passionate **Executive Chef** to lead the kitchen of our Georgian restaurant. We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of **Georgian cuisine and culinary traditions**, while also having the creativity to develop unique dishes using high-quality local ingredients. Responsibilities - Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations - Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the restaurants menu - Create unique and authentic Georgian dishes while respecting traditional cooking techniques - Develop new dishes using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients - Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, taste, and portion control - Manage food preparation, kitchen organization, and daily service - Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness - Manage food costs, inventory, ordering, and minimize waste - Train, mentor, and develop kitchen team members - Establish and maintain kitchen procedures and quality standards - Collaborate with management on menu development, seasonal specials, and culinary concepts - Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and professionally during busy service periods **Requirements** - **Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Georgian kitchen as an Executive Chef or in a senior chef position** - **Fluent Georgian language** - Georgian is the working language in the kitchen - Strong knowledge of traditional Georgian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques - Demonstrated ability to create unique menus while maintaining the authenticity of Georgian cuisine - Experience working with **local and seasonal ingredients** - Strong leadership and team-management skills - Excellent organizational and communication skills - High standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation - Passion for Georgian culinary culture and a creative approach to cooking What We Offer - **35-hour working week** - **Competitive salary** - Opportunity to take a leading role in developing the restaurants culinary identity - A **fast-growing and knowledgeable team** - A professional environment where creativity, expertise, and high-quality Georgian cuisine are valued
