Who we are

Workuro (workuro.com) is operated by Mindbalancer OÜ, a company registered in Estonia, European Union ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@workuro.com.

What we collect and why

Profile data - name, profession, experience, country of origin, languages, target locations. You provide this to be listed in the registry; that is the whole purpose of the service (contract basis, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

Account data - your email address, used for signing in (one-time codes) and for essential service messages, such as telling you when an employer has looked at your profile.

Payment data - none. Creating and keeping a profile is free, we never ask for a card, and there is nothing for us to store.

Assistant conversations - what you type to the profile assistant is processed to build your profile. Messages are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing and are not used by us for anything else.

Profile statistics - we count when employers view your profile or see it in search results, so we can show you honest statistics. We do not use tracking cookies or build advertising profiles.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of processors to run the service: Supabase (database, hosted in Ireland, EU), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery, EU region) and Google (Gemini API for the profile assistant). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Who can see your profile

Your professional details - trade, experience, country, languages, target countries and anything you write in your headline or summary - are shown to employers searching the registry. That is what being listed means, and it is the reason you created the profile.

Your contact details are not in the search. Your email address is released to a single employer at the moment they pay to unlock your profile in order to contact you about work. It is never shown publicly, never included in a list, and never handed over in bulk. We tell you by email when it happens, and every unlock is visible in your dashboard.

You can switch this off. Joining the registry is your yes. In your dashboard, under Privacy & data, the switch Let employers unlock my contact details takes it back: your profile leaves employer search and no new employer can obtain your contact details. Employers you are already in conversation with can still reach you, because they have already been introduced. You can switch it on again at any time, and deleting your account removes everything either way.

Who counts as an employer. An account is held either by a company hiring for itself or by a recruitment agency acting for a named employer. Both pay, both are metered the same way, and both are bound by the same rule: contact details may be used only to contact you about work.

We never sell your data. We do not sell, rent or licence profiles to anyone, we do not sell the registry as a list or a file, and we do not pass your data to advertisers. If we ever want to use your data for a new purpose, we will tell you first and ask, rather than quietly widening this policy.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. If you delete your account, your profile and personal data are erased immediately.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export and erase your data, and object to or restrict processing. The fastest way: your dashboard has one-click Download my data and Delete my account under Privacy & data. For anything else, email hello@workuro.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority - in Estonia, the Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we'll notify you by email before the change takes effect.
