Dairy Farm Assistant Woodview Farm Unlimited Company, Tubrid, Oldcastle, Co. Meath Woodview Farm Unlimited Company is recruiting a Dairy Farm Assistant for its dairy operation in Tubrid, Oldcastle, Co. Meath. This is a full-time, permanent position. Salary: €36,605 per annum Hours of Work: 39 hours per week, on a rota basis including weekends Location of Employment: Tubrid, Oldcastle, Co. Meath Contract: Full-time, permanent Job Description Milking cows twice daily, including pre-milking preparation, teat hygiene, and parlour wash-down Feeding and caring for the dairy herd, young stock, and calves Calf rearing, including feeding, bedding, and monitoring health Assisting during the calving season, including monitoring cows and supporting difficult calvings Monitoring animal health and welfare and reporting signs of illness, lameness, or mastitis Administering treatments and vaccinations under supervision Cleaning and maintaining sheds, cubicles, yards, and the milking parlour Operating farm machinery, including tractors and scrapers, safely Assisting with grassland management, fencing, and moving stock between paddocks Keeping accurate farm records as required Following all farm health and safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare procedures Carrying out general farm duties as directed by the farm manager Requirements Minimum 2 years' experience working on a dairy farm Proven experience milking cows in a commercial parlour Experience with calf rearing and calving Good knowledge of dairy cattle health and welfare Ability to operate farm machinery safely Good standard of spoken English Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Willing to work early mornings and weekends on a rota basis Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team How to Apply Send your CV and a short cover note outlining your dairy experience to Karl Hennessy at karlhennessy2026@outlook.com.
