<p>Are you an <strong>independent electrician</strong> who enjoys working on technical projects and is not afraid of a new challenge?</p><p>Would you like to work on <strong>ships</strong> and join a working environment where you are given <strong>a lot of responsibility and freedom</strong>?</p><p>For a growing company specialized in <strong>ship repair and technical maintenance</strong>, we are looking for a <strong>SHIP ELECTRICIAN</strong>.</p><p>As a <strong>SHIP ELECTRICIAN</strong>, your responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Carrying out <strong>electrical maintenance and repair work</strong> on ships;</li><li>Working on different ships, both <strong>at the workshop in Ostend and on-site throughout West Flanders</strong>;</li><li>Starting on site and working <strong>independently</strong> on the planned tasks;</li><li>Performing <strong>electrical tests and inspections</strong>;</li><li>Disconnecting electrical components and wiring from engines;</li><li><strong>Troubleshooting electrical faults</strong> and finding suitable solutions;</li><li>Carrying out electrical interventions and repairs;</li><li>Actively thinking along with technical challenges and <strong>independently looking for solutions</strong>.</li></ul> <![CDATA[<p>As a <strong>SHIP ELECTRICIAN in OSTEND</strong>, you recognize yourself in the following:</p><ul><li>You have a technical education or background, preferably in <strong>industrial electricity</strong>;</li><li>You speak <strong>Dutch OR English</strong>;</li><li>You have a <strong>driving licence B</strong>;</li><li>You preferably have experience in an <strong>industrial environment</strong>;</li><li>Experience in the <strong>maritime sector</strong> is a plus, but <strong>not an absolute requirement</strong>;</li><li>You are able to <strong>work independently</strong> and do not need constant supervision;</li><li>You are a real <strong>problem-solver</strong> who takes initiative and looks for solutions yourself;</li><li>You are not afraid to <strong>take responsibility</strong>.</li></ul>
