Is a new construction shortage fueling Portugal’s housing crisis?

What this means if you want to work there

Private construction is dropping sharply across Portugal according to the economy minister. This slowdown affects workers in the building trades who are looking for employment there. The news report does not change any official rules or permit requirements for anyone wanting to start a job in the country. It is also not yet clear how local authorities will respond to the ministerial call for action. If you are a skilled worker planning to move for construction work, you should keep your resume ready in English.
