What the work involves

In order to work in Ireland a non-EEA National, unless they are exempted, must hold a valid employment permit. A minimum of 2 years' relevant professional experience working in a Korean restaurant or Korean cuisine kitchen. Demonstrable practical experience preparing and cooking Korean cuisine in a professional restaurant environment. Experience working as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, Commis Chef with relevant progression, or in another comparable professional chef position. Experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen and managing an assigned kitchen section during service. Practical experience with Korean cooking techniques, ingredients, sauces, marinades and food preparation methods. Technical and Culinary Skills: Good knowledge of Korean cuisine and traditional Korean cooking methods. Ability to prepare and cook Korean dishes consistently in accordance with established recipes and standards. Good knowledge of ingredient preparation, portion control and food presentation. Ability to work efficiently and accurately during busy service periods. Knowledge of HACCP principles and good food hygiene and food-handling practices. Ability to operate standard commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
